There is no single best fix for everyone, but a combination of practices often brings quicker relief. Before standing, perform gentle calf and plantar fascia stretches to lessen the first-step pull. Put on supportive, well-cushioned shoes as soon as you get out of bed, and use brief icing sessions after activity to calm soreness. If first-step pain remains intense, consider a night splint to keep the ankle neutral during sleep.
